We stayed 2 nights with our adult disabled daughter. Our en suite room was on the ground floor and was a good size with plenty of room. The owner and staff were lovely and very helpful. There is ample car parking on site and the guesthouse is within easy walking distance of the town centre.

We really enjoyed our stay with you very much and would like to come again some time. Kind regards Otto, Karin and Fine -our dog.

What a lovely little B&B!My First time staying in Elgin and Wilma was so friendly and welcoming. Lovely presentable room, perfect for myself and my 2 teenage daughters to spend a couple of nights away to celebrate one of their birthdays.The lovely lady at breakfast(think her name was Patricia?!) surprised my daughter with a card from Wilma (and her team) on her birthday - such a thoughtful thing to do!Breakfast was lovely on both days, and we were made to feel right at home.Have rebooked to go back for my next stay in just a couple of weeks time!

Travelled for the 2024 Moray Marathon.Clean, spacious, warm room.Early breakfast (06:10) was facilitated for Marathon starting at 8am.Fabulous cooked breakfast next day.Wilma was very welcoming and took an interest in our activities.Very close to train station, race start and town centre.We would stay again if we decided to enter the race in 2025!

Moraydale made us feel so welcome. Our room was immaculately clean, spacious, warm and quiet. My children absolutely loved it - and especially the breakfasts, where the food was delicious, home-cooked, fresh and plentiful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely return. It's a really nice guest house, and very practical if you have a dog as we did. Decent breakfast, nice hot shower and friendly people working there. The cost seemed very reasonable to me for the services we received.

Originally unsure of my choice, when the single room was basic in facilities, expectations were greatly exceeded the moment the first breakfast arrived and was perfect.Plenty to explore starting from the doorstep and out as far as you want to travel.

Climbing stairs isn’t easy for me, and when I arrived I found that the garden view room that I thought would be on the main floor was in fact on the first floor. Wilma was so lovely and was able to accommodate me on the main floor. Breakfast could have been a (very) full Scottish breakfast, but porridge, fresh fruit, and yoghurt was more than enough. Patricia who brought breakfast was cheerful and always wanted to make sure I had everything I wanted. This guest house is very clean and well kept. I recommend it highly.

I was in a large,very nice en-suite room with 2 beds. I slept well and in the morning had a good selection at breakfast, both cold and cooked. the people were very nice and the service excellent, I would go back any time..

We stayed as we were getting married in Elgin in a very intimate and private ceremony. We had a vegan in the group and were impressed with the lengths management had gone to meet her requirements. We were gifted a beautiful bunch of flowers and some chocolates as well. Breakfast being served from 8am to 9am felt a little restrictive but this seemed to be the standard across guest houses in the area. Traditional Scottish Guest House, incredibly accommodating.

Fantastic wee B&B right in the centre of Elgin. Major shops and the town only a 10 min walk away, car parking, nice and clean and the staff were very helpful.

Booked moraydale for a 2 night stay. We had a double and a family room. Absolutely stunning location. Clean and tidy outside and throughout the house. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee facilities fully stocked, towels, shower gel and hand wash supplied. Breakfast was included in the price and they were quality items used for breakfast. Great selection from fresh fruit, Scottish oats ( which were amazing!) to a full Scottish breakfast including black pudding. If you didn’t want the full breakfast you could have a sandwich of your choice from the menu. The beds were so comfortable. Will definitely be booking again next time we are visiting. Wilma and the team do a great job

Definitely stay again

We were a group of 5 friends on a trip to Speyside to visit the distilleries in the area. We felt Very Welcome right from the time we arrived at Moraydale Guest House. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were nice, clean and cosy. We got clean towels and extra toiletpaper daily. There was a electric kettle in the room for coffee, chocolate or tea and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and with a fine selection to chose from. We were also able to use the breakfast room for a nightcap before bedtime in the evening and the Guesthouse is placed near the town center with everything in walking distance. We can highly recomend Moraydale Guest House and would go back for a stay anytime. We felt Very welcome.

The host and staff were all wonderful. The room and facilities were excellent. The breakfast was very well organized and executed - good flexibility to change things a bit each day.

I have stayed at a number of B&B’s in Elgin and this is the best so far. I had a room with twin beds which was very comfortable. The bathroom was in a private alcove just outside the room but was solely for our use. The breakfast was good although I didn’t have a cooked breakfast. Most days I had cereal and I had porridge one day. Location was very close to center. Parking was behind the hotel. Just note that it is advisable to turn your car around so that you can pull out of the hotel front first as it is on a fairly busy road and the view isn’t the best coming out. I had no problems but much easier to get out front first rather than back first.I would also like to add that the Wi-Fi was the best I have had in Elgin. I was doing some work during the day and I had no problem accessing my work network and having video calls. Streaming in the evening was also fine. There was no desk in the room to work on, but I was able to work peacefully in the breakfast room.

Owner Lady was so pleasant and helpful, WE enjoyed the stay and the delicious breakfast. Very clean and elegant rooms.

I was in Elgin on business and needed to stay the night. Moraydale was a lovely place to stay. Clean, spacious rooms and a great breakfast.

What a lovely place to stay. The location is great and the rooms are beautifully done and so cosy despite being huge :) Wilma was so kind and didn't bat an eyelid at my early morning departures but organized an alternative breakfast on the spot. Definitely book this wonderful guesthouse.

The room was very comfortable. My first time in a guest house and it was perfect. The duvet was the softest I've ever had. My only negative was the shower. I like a nice strong shower, and it wasn't at all. But that's my only negative. Breakfast was also great. Didn't have to wait long at all and there was more than enough to choose from. Service was friendly and cheery.Great location for getting into town. Just a short walk.

The breakfast, full Scottish was perfect, as good as it gets.Next time I am in in Elgin I will go there, no need to look around when what you have found is so good.also only a couple of minutes (at a slow walk) from the high street, but set back in a big garden so still quiet.

Great room (room 6) with loads of space. A 5 minute walk from the town centre for access to restaurants which was ideal for me as a solo traveller. Breakfast was excellent with a very varied choice. Would definitely stay again on my next trip to Elgin.

The Moraydale is a very comfortable, spotlessly clean B&B. The owner and her staff are welcoming and friendly. The cooked breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked and with generous portions. There is also a good selection of fresh fruit and cereal.The house has private parking and is only five minutes walk from the town centre.

As described, large victorian house unfortunately on busy main road so noisy if windows open.Easy,quick(about 5 minutes) walk into town for evening meal.Host pleasant, rooms comfortable, low pressure shower but water hot. Despite having password for WIFI connection poor so not able to use.Breakfast tasty and good choice.Overall 1 night stay was fine.

Wilma was totally lovely and charming.We arrived fairly late with a rather large camper van.She took the trouble to get another guest to manoeuvre her car to facilitate us being able to park.Then lent us an umbrella in order to negotiate the weather.All good.Left my phone charger behind though ????

Wilma greeted us both and our cocker spaniel in a very warm welcome manner. She was happy to help in any way. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked and servedby friendly staff. We could return during the day which made our stay even better. A lovely stay which puts many a hotel to shame. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at the Moraydale a few times now and would not think of staying in any other hotel in Elgin. The first time I stayed there was about six years ago and I was impressed with the very high standard of the rooms. I am pleased that they still exceed my expectations. You get a first rate generous sized cocked breakfast to set you up for the day. Everybody is friendly and helpful and keen to make your stay enjoyable. It is only a short two minuet walk into the high street so very convenient for the local restaurants.

Had a really homely 1 night stay. The room was very clean, bed super comfy, coffee facility in room was great along with the galaxy hot chocolate which was delicious. Choice for breakfast was amazing, the full cooked breakfast was delicious and my daughter loved the tomato shaped in a flower.Along with hot chocolate.Very easy to acess just from high street and adequate parking. Highly recommended staying and will be back again.

A group of friends traveling together stayed here for one night. It was perfect. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

I stayed here for a night whilst working in the area and could not rate this B&B high enough. It has easy off street parking and in a central location near to the Town Centre. I was met with a very warm friendly welcome then shown to a spotlessly clean room that was appointed with a comfortable bed and lovely en-suite bathroom. I felt very much at home and not having that corporate room feeling of the chain hotels. I would certainly not hesitate to stay here again. Can't thank the owners enough for my stay.

The staff was wonderful and the breakfast each morning was a perfect start to the day. My only recommendation would be to request a room facing the back garden due to bright street lights and loud road traffic. I look forward to staying again next time I am in Elgin.

We came on a pilgrimage to our favourite whisky distillery = Glen Moray, but discovered a lot more in the pleasant little town of Elgin. The guest house is near the city centre, and on walking distance from the distillery. The room had all you could ask for and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed for two nights.

I can highly recommend this charming hotel in the heart of Elgin. We would like to come back one day.

That is the spontaneous thought I had when I first saw my room. Warm plaid carpet, delicately coloured net curtain and matching curtains. I wanted to stay! The double bed in my small single room was really comfortable, and wi fi was easily available. Breakfast was served, and was nicely cooked. Staff were friendly and more than helpful. Strongly recommended.

Our stay of four days was blessed with cold but sunny weather. Any cold temperature was compensated by the warm welcome and care we received. The Moraydale provided us with a good base to explore the surrounding countryside whilst being in easy reach of the centre of Elgin.

I only stayed one night at the Moraydale as I was on my way to Pluscarden Abbey. The guest house deserves its four stars. From the spacious room with comfortable facilities and wifi to the Great Scottish Breakfast the following morning and the welcome reception and great dinner suggestion from Wilma, it is a home from home. It is also extremely central so I managed a stroll round the sights of Elgin in one afternoon. Thank you - I hope to be back.

Nice traditional place with friendly staff and a substantial breakfast. Avoid room 8 though - the shower is rubbish and being next to the kitchen it's a bit noisy.

Willma is hard working and very helpfull to people staing with her . It is clean and tidy and very warm and comfortable to stay i give it a 5 star rating and worth 55 pounds a night.

I had heard so much about this guesthouse from my colleagues and I was certainly not disappointed.In fact, it exceeded my expectations.The room was spacious and very clean and the bathroom was lovely.Slept very well because of the comfy bed and there was no noise from outside.Breakfast next day was lovely, particularly the poached eggs.Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wishes to stay in Elgin, as it was only a few minutes walk from town.

Arrived earlier than expected but room was ready and was accommodated immediately. The hotel and room was spotless, the bed very comfy and all amenities there for use. On a cold dark winter trip, it's nice to have a warm and cosy room to come back to, and a very comfortable bed.The WiFi connection was excellent - necessary these days for the business traveller - and the breakfast generous.I was pleased to note that my room had decent light bulbs, not the baleful dim green glimmer of 'compact fluorescent' bulbs.The ensuite WC and shower were well-appointed, and everything spotless.

Moraydale is the perfect spot to stay to explore the delights of Moray within easy drives to all the great whiskey distilleries not to mention the areas great history such as Elgin Cathedral the ancient Pictish stone in Forres.

A warm welcome awaited my wife and myself on our arrival at Moraydale. After a very long drive, a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed was very welcome. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning set us up for the day. A great place to stay and very convenient for the town and also local attractions.

Third time we have stayed in the Moraydale and have always received a warm welcome. Since our last stay the rooms have been redecorated and are light and airy. The breakfast is plentiful with lots of choice.Ideal location with 3 minute walk into Elgin and on the main A96 road.

The guest house was perfectly located for the town of Elgin, just a very short walk to the amenities. On the day of our arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome. all we needed to know was thoroughly explained before we were taken to our more than acceptable room. It was a good size and was spotlessly clean and had some nice touches to compliment the simple but tasteful décor. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and nothing was too much trouble to the very pleasant staff. All in all it was faultless and we would definitely stay again when we return.

I booked a twin room for the evening of Friday, June 26th, to accommodate myself and my 12 year old son. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, as was the en suite. There was a good variety of options at breakfast. The owner was polite, friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation staying here again. Very good value for money.

I stayed at Moraydale Guest House for three days in June 2015. I wanted a location in central Moray and this could not have been better. It was perfect in terms of Elgin, the town and also County Moray.In terms of accommodation, it was perfect. My room was beautifully appointed, very tastefully decorated, with crisp clean linen and towels etc. The room was comfortably warm and there was plenty of hot water. Great care is taken with the cleanliness of the guest home and it was spotless throughout.The dining room is of an equally high standard as was the breakfasts. Plenty of choices and beautifully prepared and presented.I could not have wished for a more comfortable and pleasant stay and would heartily recommend this guest house to any would be traveller looking for a central Moray location.

I have stayed at the Moraydale many times before and it is still one of the best B+B's that I have ever stayed at. The owner and her staff are brilliant and very friendly. I would recommend anybody to stay here, but book early because they are very busy in the holiday periods. I used to stay in the for nine years in the RAF, so I know the area very well.there are many place of intrest to visit in the area such as the many Whisky distilleries, far too many places to mention.

We had the pleasure to stay for 5 nights while visiting some family nearby, the Lady of the house is going the xtra mile for you, the room was very large and comfy, breakfast fantastic and very big too. Highly recomanded!!!!!!

Stayed overnight in "single" room but had double bed. Best night's sleep in ages! Room was at rear so no noise from traffic. Great breakfast selection and very helpful staff....very good value.

We stayed at Moraydale guest house during our summer holiday for 1 night on 31st of July 2013.All aspect of our stay where outstanding. Spacious, spic and span room, delicious breakfast and a very heartwarming welcome upon arrival.

We were so happy to stay here.The room was lovely as well as the house.Breakfast was delicious and we felt at home with our host.

The B&B was in a good central location for all of our sites in the Elgin area. The hostess was very warm and informative and the facilities were clean and comfortable.

Great B&B! The location is easy to get to and is within walking distance to a number of shops and restaurants.We could also walk to Elgin Cathedral - well worth a visit. The rooms were very nice and appear to have been recently updated. The off street parking was really great. Breakfast each morning was delicious and I couldn't have asked for friendlier staff! I would absolutely stay here again!

We had an en suite family room and enjoyed a lovely stay at Moraydale. The owners were friendly and helpful and breakfast was great every day of our stay.

The Moraydale was a joy to stay in, nothing was too much trouble for the staff & everyone was polite & helpful. The room was one of the best we have stayed in, spacious, clean & tidy. If (when) we return to Elgin then we will book into the Moraydale for sure.

Moraydale was a charming, clean and comfortable place to spend the night, with a tasty breakfast in the morning. A short walk from town, so a great location, and a friendly owner. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed at many guest houses over the year's but must rank Moraydale number 1. The minute we drove into the car park and saw the wonderful garden space we knew we were in for a treat. I stayed here while attending a funeral in Elgin and found the accommodation excellent and it is so close to the town centre.Very clean, tidy and comfortable.The owner was fantastic letting us stay in the room later on the day of departure and allowing us to leave our luggage there all day and pick it up late afternoon - I can not thank her enough and would highly recommend staying here.The breakfast was also delicious.Thanks again.

This was my first visit to Moraydale and I will stay there again. Very friendly welcome and this B and B is very clean and is extremely well decorated throughout the full house. If you are looking for a quality B and B in Elgin then I would recommend this as a first choice. 10 out 10 to the owner.

We stayed at the Moraydale Guesthouse for 2 nights when attending a wedding in Elgin.Our host was fantastic and went out of her way to help when we had flight issues and ended getting up to Elgin after 10pm.The room was immaculate and the breakfast was excellent and very filling!I would not hesitate to recommend the Moraydale Guesthouse.

I'd highly recommend Moraydale to anyone visiting this part of Scotland. Everyone was very welcoming and I had a spacious ensuite room. The guest house was conveniently situated near the centre of Elgin. There is a good choice of cafes and eateries in the city centre. Elgin is also a good base for travel by public transport, with a rail service to Inverness and a good choice of bus services along the Moray coast.

Only stayed one night here to attend a wedding in Elgin but was very impressed by the facilities on offer in the room and the high level of cleanliness throughout. Add in a welcoming and helpful owner - you couldn't really ask for more.I would have no hesitation in returning here.

My daughters and I recently stayed at the Moraydale Guest House, Elgin. The proprietor was helpful and accommodating when we had to change our requirements. The room was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. A very enjoyable visit.

My son and I stayed at the Moraydale Guest House on 15th March 2013 for one night.Having used B&B all over the country over a large number of years I would say this is the best I have ever been in. The attention to all aspects of detail within the premises is unbelievable. Wilma and her staff could not be more helpful and efficient. If I am in this area again I will definitely stay there.

Arrivedd around 7 pm and shown staright to my room which was really spacious and warm. Very clean a lovely decor. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and roomy.Breakfast was superb having the full Scottisg. I will definately be back and will recommendto many of my colleagues.

I was pleased with the standard of the room and with the very high standard of the staff members. The breakfast menu provided a wide variety of options. I chose to have a mushroom omelette. The omelette was very tasty and well cooked. The location of the B&B was excellent. Thank you for much for making my stay very comfortable.

The accommodation, the landlady and the food made for a very pleasant stay. Although I didn't have a cooked breakfast the cold choice was excellent with an endless supply of help yourself coffee, perfect. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Second time of staying and again it was a pleasure.Had room 2 again which is a large comfortable double with a good shower. The breakfast is excellent in service, quality and quantity. Will stay here for all my visits to Elgin unless fully booked as it is better than any of the hotels.

A very comfortable guest house, close to all the amenities of Elgin but with easy access to the surrounding countryside and beaches. Wilma gives you a warm welcome and a brilliant breakfast, and my room had all the facilities I could want, including wi-fi. Highly recommended.

A lovely house where we were well looked after in beautiful rooms.Car parking to the rear found very worthwhile at times when not driving. The Breakfasts served were of good quality and suitable for all our party. If ever we found we would be in the area again would not hesitate in contacting Moraydale. This was a great place to stay. Our host was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and charming. There was plenty of space in our room to set up our travel cot as well. There was a large selection of foods at breakfast as well. The only small negative was that the wifi did not work in our room.

All was exactly as it should be with a warm welcome, beautifully decorated rooms in which everything worked including fast WiFi and a great breakfast. My only problem with giving a perfect review is the fact that when I wish to return there will be no room.

A very comfortable night.The most enjoyable part was having a choice at breakfast (this included the Smoked Haddock and Poached Egg which was very nice) and not found in any other of our B&B stays.
